This past summer, Conscious Clothing was honored by the Grand Rapids Public Museum by inducting three of our designs into their permanent collection. They are currently on display now in an exhibit titled Fashion and Nature.
It was such a beautiful moment to see all those years of design with Rose who created them. We noticed that the garments people chose as their favorite we're all simple and timeless designs. Everything looked as relevant today as it did when it was first produced. We also noticed a commonality in the people that showed up too. Caring about people and the planet is part of their way of life. Being a part of the Conscious Clothing family is just one small way they are making a difference in the world with what they choose to support.
Nine days after we gathered at the museum, Rose passed away from her nearly three year battle with triple negative breast cancer. She was such an amazing sprit that gave so much to the world and the family we made together. Her vision of creating a better world through sustainably and ethically made clothing will continue on.
With such a worthwhile mission, it is an honor to be part of the team that will carry this forward. We will forever keep her as the heartbeat of this brand.
We are beyond grateful. Thank you for helping us keep her dream in motion.
