This summer brought a major transition for our life and our team, and we want to talk openly about some of the changes as we go forward.
The biggest news of all is that we said goodbye to our beloved Rose — her battle with cancer ended on August 24 in the early morning. Rose’s love for the Earth and the people on it was infused in her life, from her organic garden to this sustainable clothing company she started at home over 20 years ago.
For anyone that knew Rose, her laugh was contagious, and she would never turn down a Nerf battle. She found so much joy in Motherhood and time spent on Lake Michigan with her people. She loved that so many people will continue to be walking and playing and gardening wearing clothes she poured her heart into. We wear them proudly and honor her forever.
Here is a link to her obituary.
As for Conscious Clothing, Doug and the amazing team will continue to forge ahead with her legacy, using the multitude of patterns she left behind to continue creating and making sustainable clothing that she loved so much. We look forward to showcasing and enhancing what she spent so much of her life creating!
Also —our team is growing! We are welcoming lots of new humans to the workspace as we make the transitions, and we are so excited about the amazing people who come to work with us. Thanks in advance for your patience as new team members means there’s a lot of learning going on. We are doing the best we can to keep everything consistent and steady, but we appreciate the extra grace all around as we navigate this difficult season. Our community and customers throughout the years have been absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be surrounded by mindful, thoughtful, and loving people. Whether we know you or not, we appreciate your being on this journey with us. ♡
