Comfort Collection

The Comfort Collection came forth in a way we didn’t expect. As all good ideas often have a story to tell - this one begins with a different release in the Spring.

Our approach to the EveryBODY release (April 2020) was that it would be a collection for the people_ one where we could set aside labels for gender norms and offer garments that wouldn’t be boxed in. It was, for us, an acknowledgement of clothing for bodies not labels; and still stands on the premise that skin, gender, or pronoun, shouldn’t be a part of the ability to find clothing to wear. We loved the heck out of that release, the photos, the energy of having different humans in our clothes for the first time ever. The feedback we received from our customers about the beauty of having new options was everything we had hoped for. We got wonderful ideas and had big proud moments; and simultaneously received some less-than-shining feedback as well. The name EveryBODY represented something different to us than it did to a community of individuals that felt it was a misnomer for those bodies larger than our current sizing (XS-XXL).

We acknowledged the ways some bodies weren’t being represented, and took some time to reflect on that. With more time spent at home and the world feeling chaotic & unknown with the pandemic, we saw that more than ever, comfort was needed. Our hemp & organic cotton jersey & yoga collection could barely be kept in stock during the month we were under “stay at home” restrictions. We realized that what EveryBODY wanted was to also be wrapped in comfortable, sustainable clothing.

The Comfort Collection vision is twofold_ to make comfort a ritual way of honoring a person in their own skin, and to offer the ethical clothing industry more body-positive & inclusive options.

We believe in making comfortable, sustainable, handmade garments for comfort & daily, repeated wear. We were inspired to create garments to embrace the multitude of bodies that wear them—using fibers that honor the wearer and the earth.

A few months in the making, we are proud to release a collection that extends up to 4XL, with the softest hemp & cotton fibers and our most beloved designs.

As always, thanks for making us better with your honesty and your feedback. We are infinitely grateful for this community, for the humans that showed up to wear our clothes for these photos on a warm evening this fall.
